Online payments for e-commerce

Home / E-commerce payments

Running an online shop and want to accept card payments? With RONPAY you install a plugin for WooCommerce, Magento or PrestaShop, run a few test payments and start selling. Your account is usually active within 1 - 24 hours, and funds usually arrive within 24 - 48 hours.

What a shop loses at checkout

A customer who reaches the payment step has already decided to buy. If the page loads slowly, asks for the card twice or lacks the method they use every day, they leave. An abandoned basket is the most expensive visit of all, because you already paid to bring it in.

What goes into your checkout with RONPAY

Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay for mobile shoppers. Pay-in-instalments with Klarna for larger baskets, with the full amount paid to you after approval. One-click payment for returning customers. And payment links for orders taken by phone or WhatsApp.

If you sell subscriptions, monthly boxes or recurring services, the card is tokenised on the first payment and the next ones run automatically. See Recurring payments.

What it costs you

No monthly fee and no gateway fee. On every order you pay the card's interchange, scheme fees, the RONPAY margin from 0.55% and 0.05 EUR. On a 200 EUR order paid with a European consumer debit card, that means 0.40 EUR interchange, 1.10 EUR margin and 0.05 EUR fixed, plus scheme fees.

And if you have a physical shop too

Put a Smart POS at the till and see online and in-store sales in the same dashboard, on the same pricing structure. For retail with several locations, see Retail stores.

QUESTIONS

For online shops

How do I add card payments to WooCommerce?

Install the RONPAY plugin from your WordPress dashboard, paste the API keys from your account and place a test order. If anything does not work, our team helps you with the setup.

Which documents do I need for activation?

The company registration certificate and VAT number, an identity document for the legal representative and the beneficial owner, a bank document confirming the company IBAN, and your shop URL with its terms, privacy and returns pages. Details on Merchant account activation.

Can I accept cards from outside Europe?

Yes. You can accept cards issued anywhere; interchange on non-EEA cards is higher, and under IC++ you see it separately.

What happens if a customer wants their money back?

You issue the refund from the dashboard, in full or in part, and the money goes back to the customer's card. If they open a dispute with their bank, you are notified and can respond with the order evidence.
