Where RONPAY comes out ahead
On European consumer cards, which make up most of an average online shop's payments. There interchange is capped at 0.20% or 0.30%, so paying the real cost of the card plus our margin costs less than a flat 1.80%. The fixed fee helps too: 0.05 EUR instead of 0.25 EUR on every order.
When Mollie may be the right choice
If you sell mainly in the Netherlands or Belgium and your customers pay with iDEAL or Bancontact, Mollie's local methods are hard to beat. The same applies if you want a very wide choice of ready-made plugins. We say it openly, because a comparison that hides it does not help you.
On American Express, Mollie's published price is lower than our single rate of 3.20%. If a large share of your customers pay with Amex, take that into account.
